  • Goal: Complete the following four Certificate of Achievement programs, including additional and revised classes:

    • Virtual Production

    • Animation

    • Gaming

    • VFX

  • Status: As mentioned in my Self Evaluation page, please see below:

    • Virtual Production:

      • Approved

      • Schedule mapping completed

      • Successfully teaching FLM PRD 201 and 203

      • Will teach FLM PRD 207 this Spring.

      • FLM PRD 200 and 202 have been successful since 2020 and 2021.

    • Animation:

      • Working on Animation with The Animation Guild Local 839 president, Jeanette Moreno King to complete.

    • Gaming:

      • I wrote an NOI for a Certificate of Achievement in Gaming, yet Elise Forier Edie hired Eric Elder to write this certificate.

      • With that said, I was deeply involved in the process, even serving as a panelist at LA Game Con Edu.

      • Collaborated with Eric Elder, Anna Chiang, and Phil Galler to develop classes.

    • VFX:

      • Working VFX with VFX guru, Andy Cochrane to complete.

  • Goal: To secure a PC lab for all new pathways above, with all appropriate software.

  • Status: Achieved goal, collaborating with Kimberly Manner, Anna Chiang, Tiffany Miller, and Malachi Maldonado. Secured all hardware and software needed for all above pathways and already taught FLM PRD 201 in our our new computer lab with HP OMEN NVIDIA GeForce 4090 gaming computers.

  • Goal: To secure appropriate instructors to help me teach the classes in the above pathways.

  • Status: This has been done, for the most part. Eric Rigney is officially an adjunct. We just need to finish hiring Brian Pohl, Evan Cervantes, and Jeanette Moreno King. We should hire beyond these top experts as the program grows.

  • Goal: To expand the above pathways into a robust, program that serves our community well.

  • Status: We are beginning this work, thanks to Laura Guichard, Kimberly Manner, and schedule mapping.

  • Goal: Continue working on all goals above, for example, secure Amazon Studios Virtual Production Volume at Stage 15 as our training facility and gain knowledge, expertise and training from Phil Galler from Lux Machina.

  • Status: While I am still working to get Ken Nakada to work with us to secure Amazon, we have Eric Rigney from Mo-Sys, Evan Cervantes from Lux Machina, and Mau Van Hasselt from Pixomondo at Sony Studios, and have taken students to all three locations.

  • Goal: Take another Field Trip to SIGGRAPH. This year it will be in Denver, CO.

  • Status: Due to the Denver, CO location, the SIGGRAPH education chair stated that they did not have funds to make this happen. I would like to try for next year, although SIGGRAPH 2025 will be in Vancouver, Canada.

  • Goal: Take Film Production Students to the American Film Market in Santa Monica.

  • Status: The American Film Market (AFM) was held in Las Vegas, Nevada this year. If it returns to Santa Monica, I will revisit this goal. With that said, I did suggest that Johnathan Bloodwolf Lopez submit his film, They Can't Kill Us, already showing on Amazon Prime, to the AFM.

  • Goal: Ensure that our department is healthy, collaborative, non-toxic and that we enjoy working together, so that we can accomplish much more as a team.

  • Status: I feel that our department is working better as a team than last year, due to efforts by everyone in the department.
